Pedestrian killed in Manorville hit-and-run, police say

A pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash Sunday night on County Route 111 in Manorville, Suffolk police said.

Investigators said the man was crossing County Route 111, just north of Chapman Boulevard, when he was hit by a vehicle heading north about 8:33 p.m. The driver did not stop and fled the scene, police said.

The victim’s name has not yet been released pending notification of family. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
