Shirley just got a fresh new spot for groceries.
This November, Gala Fresh Farms officially opened at 803 Montauk Highway, taking over the former home of 5th Avenue Furniture, which has relocated across the street next to Lidl. The supermarket is situated next to Rite Aid and just north of Zwanger-Pesiri Radiology.
The store offers a variety of departments, including grocery, fresh produce, a butcher shop, seafood, bakery, deli (featuring Boar’s Head products), and an international foods section.
Gala Fresh Farms is part of the Aurora Grocery Group, which also operates Gala Foods and Compare Foods locations in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and North Carolina.
