Photo tour of Bay Shore’s newly opened chophouse

King’s Chophouse is serving up dry-aged meats, fresh seafood and classic cocktails in downtown Bay Shore.

The new steakhouse swung open its doors at 52 E. Main St last month.

“We’re trying to fill a void in town,” said co-owner Sean Nolan. “There’s no steakhouse, nothing this small either —this is meant to be a community gathering spot.”

Nolan launched the venture with his business partners Dave Prunier and Steven Scalesse, who also own Tullulah’s, Sayville Athletic Club, and Barito together.

Their goal was to bring a new concept to the area.

“A lot of people like to throw around that farm-to-table term and it’s too loosely used,” said Nolan. “A farmer pulls up in a truck and hand delivers everything to us, we look at it together, if he doesn’t like it or we don’t, it goes back.”

After opening in Bay Shore, the GreaterBayShore team swung by for a tour. Scroll down to see more photos by Yellow House Images.
