Photos: Long Island walloped by snow during blizzard of 2022

|

The blizzard that swept through Suffolk and Nassau counties Friday night into Saturday dumped over 20 inches in certain parts of the island, the National Weather Service is reporting.

So far, as of 9 p.m. on Saturday, the highest totals recorded were at Long Island MacArthur Airport in Ronkonkoma with 22.4 inches. However, the snow totals are still being tallied and will be updated by tomorrow. Check back here for more information on that.

During the storm, Greater Long Island photographer Andrew Theodoarkis ventured out into the snowy conditions to capture the conditions.

Below are photos he took from areas in Stony Brook, Setauket and Port Jefferson.

Theodoarkis is also a local business owner and founder of Yellow House Images, a wedding photography company based in Suffolk County. Learn more about his company here.
