History came to life once again at the annual Brookhaven Country Fair.
The event was held this past weekend at the Longwood Estate, a historic property built in 1790 at the corner of Longwood Road and Smith Road in Ridge.
Attendees enjoyed historical reenactments and demonstrations by performers in historically accurate attire, along with live music by the Ed Travers Band, food, drinks, and a variety of vendor booths.
The reenactments covered several time periods, including the American Revolutionary War and Civil War eras.
“It brings attention to the rich local history of the area,” said Diane Schwindt, the estate’s director.
