Partners Advancing West Islip Schools (PAWS) held its 12th annual fundraising gala Friday at Captain Bill’s Bayview House in Bay Shore.
PAWS is a nonprofit organization that’s separate from the West Islip School District. The group works to raise funds for educational programs or services not provided by the district.
The honorees this year were Joe DeCarlo (community) and Kevin Murphy (education).
