Pine Barrens Jam music festival comes to Center Moriches in September

|

Pine Barrens Jam — the latest music festival to hit the scene on Long Island — debuts next month in Center Moriches.

On Saturday, Sept. 18, a lineup comprised entirely of Long Island songwriters, musicians and poets will perform across three stages at Ringhoff Farm, located at 62 Bellview Ave. The gates open at noon.

Drop The 4, a high-energy funk-fusion group, will headline the main stage, while the acoustic stage is set to feature a lineup of Long Island songwriters that includes Pete Mancini and Rorie Kelly. Popular local poet Bruce “AllOne” Pondolfo is among the orators presenting on the poetry and arts stage.

Many of the performers worked on albums during the pandemic that either came out in 2020 and 2021 or are set to come out in 2022. Among them are Christine Sweeney, Pete Mancini, Sarah Gross, Rorie Kelly and Mastic’s The Belle Curves, a band with an EP called 2020.

Check out this Spotify playlist of the performers, who are rooted in acoustic or jam band music.

Additionally, food truck and artist vendors will be on hand throughout the daylong event.
