Vicinato Kitchen & Bar, a Hauppauge restaurant renowned for serving up delicious authentic Italian cuisine at breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner, has closed permanently. The Route 111 eatery announced its shutdown in an Instagram post.
“It is with heavy heart that we announce the closure of our restaurant,” read the message, posted last month. “We’d like to extend our sincerest gratitude for all you patronage. It has been an honor serving you!”
The restaurant welcomed customers for the final time on Father’s Day, before closing for good.
Vicinato had prided itself for providing a “culinary journey through Italy” via its fine dining experience and thoughtfully crafted menus replete with authentic Italian favorites. Customers in reviews often sited the restaurant’s welcoming atmosphere and attentive service.
