A private party. A romantic dinner for two. Or just a place to enjoy a beverage in some shade after the beach. Primi is looking to attract all types of good times to its new outdoor scene.
The outdoor dining and lounge area opened just last week at Primi Italian Steakhouse, located at 999 Montauk Highway.
“I wanted to create a cozy hangout and add some extra dining and a reason for people to come in the warmer months,” said Primi owner Frank Bono. “It’s rustic, it’s a little more casual and laid back out here. It will be big help during the summer.”
Summer is a time when a place like Primi is “competing with backyards, boats and waterfront restaurants,” Bono said. “All of a sudden people have 60 percent more options.”
The idea is for people to put Primi Italian Steakhouse on the list.
The outdoor area will be open for dinner, lunch and weekend brunches, with room for 55 diners, as well as a fireplace lounge area and large heaters on cooler nights.
The project started about six weeks ago, but got delayed with the rain.
“It’s finally opened,” Bono said.
