The third installment of this summer’s Alive by the Bay festival in Bay Shore has been washed out.
The Bay Shore Restaurant Committee, the event’s organizer, decided to cancel Tuesday’s outing due to rainy conditions. “Fingers crossed for a drier evening next time!” read the official announcement, posted at 3:15 p.m on Facebook.
The next two dates are Aug. 13 and Aug. 20, both falling on Tuesdays from 5-9 p.m.
For the uninitiated, the summer street festival series features road closures on Main Street to make way for live music, street vendors, and fun activities.
