Rao’s is building a replica of its East Harlem restaurant at the Ryder Cup

One of New York City’s most exclusive restaurants is coming to the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black.

Rao’s — the legendary East Harlem spot where reservations are nearly impossible to snag — will set up shop in Farmingdale for four nights, bringing its famous red sauce, iconic décor, and old-school charm.

“Rao’s has always been about family, tradition and creating memories around the table,” said Frank Pellegrino Jr., co-owner. “We’re proud to bring that spirit to the Ryder Cup and share our story with a new audience.”

Each evening after match play, a select group of invite-only guests will step into a custom-built Rao’s replica to enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and Southern Italian classics prepared by executive chef Dino Gatto.

The event — officially titled Crypto.com presents Rao’s at the Ryder Cup — runs Sept. 25 through Sept. 28.

“Rao’s at the Ryder Cup is a fantastic addition to what will be an incredible on-site experience at Bethpage Black,” said Jeff Price, chief commercial and philanthropy officer at the PGA of America. “The opportunity for guests to take in the excitement of the Ryder Cup and enjoy Rao’s world-renowned dining experience is truly unmatched.”

While Rao’s has popped up at major sporting events like the Super Bowl, this is being billed as its most exclusive yet.

“This one stands alone,” said co-owner Ron Straci. “It’s Rao’s, at the Ryder Cup.”

The PGA says tables for six, eight, or 10 are extremely limited and available only to Ryder Cup attendees.
