UPDATE: Riverhead police reported Tuesday that a 15-year-old girl who had been missing since Saturday night had been found safe. Below is the story about the missing child, as it originally appeared on Greater Long Island.
Riverhead police hope the public can them find a 15-year-old girl who has been missing since walking out of her home early Saturday night.
Kennia Michelle Alvarez Diaz left her home at 40 Segal Ave. about 5 p.m. and has not been seen since, police said.
Cops described Kennia as Hispanic, about 5 feet tall and 130 pounds, with long black hair and brown eyes. It is unclear what she was wearing when she left her house.
Police said no foul play is suspected at this time.
