Ronkonkoma Middle School principal reminds students ‘What a Wonderful World’ it still is

Ronkonkoma Middle School Principal Joseph Licato was seeing “trees of green, red roses too” at home this week.

So, in a rare appearance on social media, the Connetquot schools administrator took to Facebook, Twitter, etc. to share his optimism with students and parents, and sing Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World.” Licato also plays the guitar, harmonica and piano in a video produced in his living room.

“I’ve never been one for social media and being involved in it, but … technology really is something that we can use to keep us connected,” Licato says before performing. “It’s a little awkward, but I’m going to play a song that I think is really appropriate right now.”
