People from across the U.S. will be gathering today, Friday, to honor the memories of those killed 14 years ago in the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
For those looking to attend a service, there are two in our area:
The Patchogue Fire Department is holding a memorial ceremony at 6 p.m. at the 15 Jennings Ave. firehouse.
The Bellport Fire Department and Bellport Village are co-hosting a memorial service at 7 p.m. at the village’s 9/11 Memorial in Osborn Park, near where the marina is located at the southern end of Bellport Lane.
