Last year’s event was a huge success, with hundreds of people from all walks of life festively marching down Railroad Avenue, which was decorated with rainbow flags provided by the Greater Sayville Chamber of Commerce. The weather was perfect for the picnic, speeches and musical entertainment that followed.

Line up for the march begins at 12:30 p.m. in the Long Island Rail Road parking lot, located at Depot Street and Green Avenue, across from the train station. Community organizations from across Long Island will participate.

Local food vendors will serve hot food and cold drinks. Picnickers should come prepared with picnic blankets or lawn chairs. The event goes until 6 p.m.
