Sayville is pushing back its first “Live on Main” dining and shopping event.
Scheduled for today, the Sayville Chamber of Commerce canceled the outing due to tonight’s hazardous weather conditions. The chamber confirmed the cancellation to GreaterSayville today.
The National Weather Service is forecasting heavy rainfall, thunderstorm and the possibility of an isolated tornado.
Live on Main will now happen on Aug. 19 and Aug. 26, both from 5-9 p.m.
Each evening will feature a closed down Main Street to allow outside dining opportunities, outdoor bargain hunting, live entertainment and an array of other family fun activities.
