Sayville hosts last weekend of July 2019 summer sidewalk sales

We are amidst the final weekend of Sayville’s “Sizzling Summer Weekend Sidewalk Sales” for 2019 — and 90 degrees is nowhere in sight.

The sidewalks will be sizzling just enough the rest of today, Saturday and Sunday, as temperatures hover around 80 degrees and humidity levels stay bearable.

“It’s been a sizzling summer — both in heat and in sales,” said Eileen Tyznar, president of the Greater Sayville Chamber of Commerce, which organized the series. “Promotions at our stores have driven hundreds of new shoppers to town, together with our regular customers.

Tyznar said there will continue to be “great sales” at participating stores and restaurants in Sayville and West Sayville — on Main and South Main streets and Candee, Railroad and Gillette avenues.
