Sayville High School senior Paige Geiser was selected to perform with the Metropolitan Opera’s HD Live in Schools program.
Together with dozens of other vocalists from high schools across the country, Paige sang Beethoven’s “Prisoners’ Chorus” from Fidelio in a virtual performance broadcasted nationally.
Below is the Met’s HD Live in Schools performance featuring Paige. She appears at the 2:35 mark, right in the middle of the screen.
In October, Paige submitted her pre-recorded soprano performance of “Prisoners’ Chorus” for consideration and was ultimately chosen to participate in the HD Live in Schools November performance.
“Paige is featured with around 50 other singers from around the country,” Sayville chorus Director Karen DiMartino said. “ We are so proud of her!”
