Scenes from Belfast Gastropub’s ribbon-cutting ceremony in Lindenhurst

|

It was a celebration of Celtic pride last week outside Lindy’s newest Irish pub.

The team at Belfast Gastropub and several local officials gathered for a green ribbon-cutting ceremony at 101 N. Wellwood Ave. on Sept. 17 to officially welcome the restaurant to the downtown.

Long Island restauranteur Dave Crowe and co-owner Bobby Fortier opened quietly back in March and since then, Belfast Gastro Pub has already become a neighborhood favorite.

“It’s an honor for us to do business in Lindenhurst where everyone has just been brilliant to us through all the processes, applications, and everything we’ve done and helped us,” Crowe said. “If anybody wants to do business in this village, I encourage it.”
