Islip’s Main Street was packed for the yearly holiday parade on Saturday.
After the parade, which was led by Santa Claus on an illuminated float, there was a Christmas tree lighting ceremony held at Town Hall.
“Our thanks to the Islip Chamber of Commerce for putting on this wonderful family event,” said Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter. “This is truly a highlight of the holiday season here in Islip, and is something we look forward to each year.”
