Downtown Lindenhurst’s biggest block party of the summer kicked off this week.
The annual festival, Wednesdays on Wellwood, took place this Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The main stretch of North Wellwood Avenue — from Hoffman Avenue to John Street — was closed to vehicle traffic to make way for an evening filled with street vendors, live music and family-friendly games.
Greater Long Island’s Grayson DeStefano was on the scene capturing photos from the season’s first event.
Missed it? The next Wednesdays on Wellwood is set for Aug. 13, with a rain date scheduled for Aug. 20, if needed.
