Boaters can now dock their vessels at East Marina up until Columbus Day.
According to reports, The New York State Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation announced seasonal boat slips rentals are now up for grabs.
The slips rental cost is $50 per foot and can fit vessels up to 40 feet long, with a maximum beam of 14 feet, the Long Island Regional office confirmed.
Each slip has potable water, an electric hook-up, and two cleats, as well as a 50 amps power source.
Boaters are responsible for their own ropes, extension cords, and adapters.
One vehicle parking permit is included, granting slip-holders 24-hour access and overnight parking. Though guests are not allowed to park their vehicles overnight.
Although there are 40 slips in total at the East Marina, there is no exact number of seasonal boat slips, so they are issued on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Boaters who rent a seasonal slip this year will automatically be renewed for the 2023 season.
This means their spots will be held so they are locked in for another year, but they must pay the fee for next year.
All interested boaters must fill out an application from the Robert Moses State Park Office in order to reserve a slip. The Robert Moses State Park Office at (631) 669-0449 has more information.
