Seven student-athletes at Eastport-South Manor Junior-Senior High School announced where they will continue their academic and athletic careers after they graduate form high school this June.
The seniors — four girls and three boys — committed to lacrosse programs at NCAA Division I, II and III colleges and universities next fall. Each made their announcement during a recognition ceremony in the Eastport-South Manor Board of Education meeting room on Nov. 9.
““Athletics helps to open doors, and you will get rewards if you commit to your team and sport,” Director of Health, Physical Education and Athletics Kevin Trentowski said, while congratulating the student-athletes and their parents and guardians for their dedication to the sport.
The following student-athletes announced their commitments:
- Maria Forte: Lacrosse at Binghamton University
- Gianna Giacolone: Lacrosse at Coastal Carolina University
- Michael Micena: Lacrosse at Siena College
- Bridie McGuire: Lacrosse at SUNY Cortland
- Julia Morrisroe: Lacrosse at Kennesaw State University
- Patrick Murphy: Lacrosse at the United States Military Academy West Point
- Jesse Weick: Lacrosse at Pennsylvania College of Technology
