The holiday season is in full swing and it’s never too late to see some extravagant light displays on Long Island.
For those who may not have plans for the holidays, consider visiting these locations for light shows the whole family can enjoy.
1. Bay Shore Christmas House
Visiting the Bay Shore Christmas House, covered in an array of spectacular lights, is a surefire way to get you in the holiday spirit.
The festive house — located at 8 Avon Place in West Bay Shore — is lit each night from 5 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
Visiting the house is free, but visitors are encouraged to donate to the National Canine Cancer Foundation. The display runs through Jan. 9.
2. Magic of Lights at Jones Beach
The Magic of Lights show at Jones Beach is more than a mile of drive-through paths decked out with light displays.
The show runs Sundays through Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. The last day is Jan. 10.
Pricing is per carload. General admission at the gate is $30 on a weekday, or $35 on the weekend. For more information on pricing or to buy tickets in advance, visit their website.
3. Smith Point Light Show at Smith Point County Campgrounds in Shirley
The Smith Point Light Show is the campground, which gets transformed into a holiday fantasy land. All you have to do is drive-thru and enjoy!
While admiring the displays, turn on the radio and listen to holiday tunes for a more immersive experience. For their 17th year, the show is featuring displays made by the Girl Scouts and all proceeds benefit Girl Scout programs for girls and families across Suffolk County.
Car tickets are $22 online, $25 at the gate. The show runs until Dec. 30 — they are closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. For more information on its schedule and times, visit the event’s website.
4. Riverhead Holiday Light Show
Riverhead’s drive-thru, holiday light show is the largest light show in Suffolk County. Dance to the holiday music while driving past the dazzling lights to kickoff your holiday festivities.
The Riverhead Holiday Light Show supports a variety of non-profit organizations by helping them fundraise during the holiday season.
Tickets can be bought online.
The show runs through Dec. 30 on select dates.
5. Liberty Street House at 119 Liberty St. in Deer Park
Brothers Andrew and Joseph Barbieri have been running The Lights on Liberty Street, aka “The Deer Park Christmas House,” for 40 years.
The house is adorned in thousands of lights and animation displays, and this year the house was featured in the ABC special “The Great Christmas Light Fight.”
100 percent of donations made by visitors go to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
6. 50 Pebble Lane in Deer Park
The synchronized light show can be viewed from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. — and don’t forget to tune into 98.5 FM on the car radio.
This home is also accepting donations for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
7. 40 Pace Drive S. in West Islip
This house has been lighting up Pace Drive South in West Islip for 33 years.
Enjoy the synchronized light show to Christmas music from your car, and feel free to make a donation in the big red mailbox — all donations go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Pace Drive is accepting visitors Monday through Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m., and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
