Cletus “The Hebrew Hammer” Seldin heads back inside the ring Saturday, Oct. 16, to defend his NABA Super Lightweight Title in the main event at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
The Shirley native will square up against William “Baby Face” Silva in Fight Club’s Triller Verz III in a scheduled 10-round fight.
Seldin, who lives in Bay Shore, has lost just once in 26 bouts, but he hasn’t boxed since successfully defending his title Feb. 28, 2020, with a TKO win over Colombian Luis Florez. His Brazilian challenger is 28-3 with 16 knockouts.
Last month, Seldin’s scheduled title defense against Victor Vazquez at The Paramount in Huntington was cancelled because Vazquez did not pass his medical clearance and was unable to obtain a boxing license from the New York State Athletic Commission.
Seldin, who in honor of his Jewish heritage wears a the Star of David on is trunks, has never fought in Barclays.
