Summer on Long Island is here, and Greater Long Island wants to see it through your lens.
Following the success of our inaugural Spring Photo Contest, we’re launching Show Us Summer, inviting photographers of all skill levels, from seasoned professionals to first-time hobbyists, to share their favorite images capturing Long Island during its most vibrant season.
Whether it’s a breathtaking sunrise at the beach, a bustling downtown festival, kids splashing in the surf, a quiet harbor at golden hour or your favorite hidden gem, we’re looking for photos that celebrate what makes summer on Long Island special.
How to enter
Photographers may submit one or more original photos showcasing summer on Long Island. Images may be taken this summer or in previous years.
Email your photo(s) to [email protected] and include your name along with the location where the photo was taken.
Submission deadline: July 15.
How it works
Once submissions close, the Greater Long Island editorial team will review every entry and select a group of finalists.
Those finalists will then be featured on our social media channels, where the public will vote to determine the winning photo.
Voting will begin later in July.
The prize
The winning photographer will receive:
- A $250 gift card to The Farm Italy
- Full photo credit
- Their winning image featured as the Greater Long Island Facebook header throughout the summer
Contest disclaimer
By submitting a photo, participants confirm they own the rights to the image and grant Greater Long Island permission to use it in editorial content, on our website and social media platforms, with proper credit given to the photographer. Photographers retain ownership of their work.
