Six from Long Island and Queens split $1 million Mega Millions prize

A group of six lottery players from Long Island has split a $1 million prize for matching the first five Mega Millions numbers.

The winners — from the Aug. 22 drawing — claimed their shares last week, in exchange for the lucky ticket that was purchased at Cumberland Farms, located at 2201 New Hyde Park Road in New Hyde Park.

Mindy Golomb of Great Neck was among the six, claiming a share of $108,500. The other Long Islander in the group is Susan Eugene of Bellerose; she claimed $102,040 of the prize.

The four other winners in the group are:

• Susan Feinstein of Fresh Meadows: $102,040

• Veronica Morales from Little Neck: $102,040

• Kathleen Albaneze from Flushing: $102,040

• Rita Primozic of Astoria: $102,039

The winning numbers drawn in the Aug. 22 drawing were 01 12 26 36 50 Mega Ball (07).
