The Smithtown location will be the Long Island-based company’s seventh restaurant since launching in 2020, joining existing spots in Bay Shore, Lindenhurst, Islip, Bayport, Lake Grove, and Babylon.
Located at 88 Main St., the 3,000-square-foot eatery replaces Buona Sera Pizzeria and will feature a full-service bar, seating for 75 guests, dine-in waitress service, and a classic slice counter. The Pizzeria team fully gutted and renovated the space ahead of the opening.
The grand opening in Smithtown is set for Thursday, April 10.
On Sunday, the ownership group hosted a friends-and-family event that included a meaningful tradition. Brothers Paul and Dan Saccoccio, who co-own The Pizzeria, learned the craft from their father, Gino — the founder of the iconic Gino’s in Ronkonkoma.
Before each new opening, Gino joins his sons to make the very first pie, a tradition that continues to honor their family’s roots in the pizza business.
