Greater Sayville coverage is funded in part by The Shed, your scratch kitchen for brunch and dinner daily at 21 Main St. in West Sayville.
“A Taste of Greece” — featuring authentic homemade Greek food and beverages — is back this Saturday, Sept. 25, at St. John’s Greek Orthodox Church of Blue Point.
From noon-8 p.m., the church, located at 77 Montauk Highway, will serve up gyros, souvlaki, baklava and the rest of your favorite Greek dinners and desserts. The food dished out at St. John’s has a reputation for being among the best Greek food you’ll taste at festivals.
The new item this year is roasted lamb off the spit. Typically a four-day festival, organizers this year are doing what they can to pack as much fun into one day as possible.
At 6 p.m., St. John’s Hellenic Dancers of Blue Point will take the stage for a performance.
Visitors have the option of dining on the property’s front lawn, where there will be a tent, or ordering carry out.
You can place your order ahead if time online at bluepointgreekfest.com. Below is the menu for the day.
