Yaphank just got a java jolt.
Starbucks opened Thursday in the hamlet’s new mixed-use complex, The Boulevard, a 322-acre development at the corner of the Long Island Expressway and William Floyd Parkway.
The Starbucks is located on the east side of The Shoppes, a retail area anchored by a 197,000-square-foot Walmart Supercenter.
Positioned in front of Walmart, the Yaphank Starbucks is an end-cap location in a new shopping strip, with indoor seating for 34. Though there is no drive-thru, the site boasts a spacious outdoor patio with alfresco seating.
A shift manager informed Greater Long Island that the new Starbucks currently operates daily from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m.
In addition to Yaphank, another Starbucks is in the works for the nearby area. Brookhaven Town has approved plans to build the coffee shop at Floyd Harbor Center on Montauk Highway in Shirley. The location will feature a drive-thru, 17 indoor seats, and eight additional seats outside. Click here to read more.
