Starbucks is adding a new location to a prominent corner in West Babylon.
The new store will be opening up at 677 Route 109 on the property that previously held the Blue Lagoon, a seafood restaurant that closed five years ago.
“Starbucks is always looking for great locations to better meet the needs of our customers,” said a Starbucks spokesperson on the new Long Island location.
Earlier this year, the old vacant building was knocked down to pave way for the soon-to-be-opened 2,000-square-foot coffeehouse.
According to the Seattle-based company, construction will be completed within months with an expected opening this fall.
The store, which will feature a drive-thru and outdoor seating, plans to hire about 15 employees.
