Long Island’s popular Great South Bay Brewery has officially opened its doors in Ronkonkoma, marking the brewery’s third location and signaling a fresh new chapter for the massive Station Yards complex.
Situated within The Core at Station Yards— just across from the Ronkonkoma LIRR station — the brewing company’s outpost is the very first bar and restaurant to open at the sprawling, 53-acre mixed-use project.
Founded in 2009 and owned by the Davis family, Great South Bay already operates a large brewery, tasting room, and events venue in Bay Shore on Drexel Drive, just west of Fifth Avenue.
The company opened its first restaurant location earlier this year in downtown Lindenhurst.
The Ronkonkoma location spans 8,400 square feet with a maximum capacity of 355 guests. It features a 90-foot bar with 24 taps — 20 showcasing GSB’s signature brews and four highlighting local favorites. Scroll down for a complete photo tour.

Recent history
The Davis family has been actively expanding the Great South Bay Brewery brand.
Earlier this year, they transformed an historic bank building in Lindenhurst into a multi-level dining and drinking destination, and the Ronkonkoma location continues this vision. According to the Davis family, the Ronkonkoma site perfectly blends Lindenhurst’s restaurant focus with Bay Shore’s bar and event space.
“We wanted to go for big, open floor plans,” co-owner Chris Davis said of Ronkonkoma. “The large concept spoke to us. This location brings us back to what we know and love about our Great South Bay experience — darts, games, and creating your own experience.”
At Station Yards, Great South Bay Brewery will soon be joined by other notable Long Island eateries such Tap Room, Toast Coffee + Kitchen, Lucharitos, and more.
“TRITEC (the developer of Station Yards) is creating a center of excellence — a downtown environment here,” said co-owner Brian Davis.
“We’ve always taken the mantra that one plus one equals three.”
