It took nearly an hour and a half into the New Year for the first baby to be born at Stony Brook University Hospital in 2019.
The hospital, located at 101 Nicolls Road, welcomed Farmingville family Ketan and Hetal Patel, who had their first daughter at 1:26 a.m.
The child, who wasn’t immediately named, was born weighing six pounds, 14 ounces. She was delivered by midwife Goldie McBride and nurse Kelly Vega.
