Suffolk County man wins $5 million on lottery scratch-off game

|

A Babylon man has struck it rich with a New York Lottery scratch-off card that he purchased in Lindenhurst.

William O’Donnell claimed a $5 million top prize Tuesday on the Cash X100 scratch-off game. After taxes, he received a single lump sum payment of just under $3.26 million.

The winning ticket was purchased at Maakrupa Super Stop, located at 200A Montauk Highway.

O’Donnell was one of three big scratch-off winners who claimed their prizes in New York on Tuesday.

Yi Qin Lin of Brooklyn collected a $3 million prize — a little over $1.32 million after taxes — that she won on New York Lottery’s Extreme Cash scratch-off game. She bought her ticket on Staten Island.

Additionally, Richard and Julie Dellario of Rochester split a $1 million top prize on New York Lottery’s Cash X20 scratch-off game. They each received a one-time lump sum payment of $247,380, after required withholdings.
