Suffolk cops saved the life of a 71-year-old West Islip man who had collapsed in front of his home while clearing snow after Saturday’s blizzard, police said.

Third Precinct Officers Terence Slane and Tristen David responded to a Hyman Avenue residence after a 911 caller reported at 7:30 p.m. that a neighbor had collapsed while using a snow blower.

When the officers arrived at the man’s home, they found him in cardiac distress and without a pulse, cops said. Slane and David helped the man regain a pulse, using CPR and an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED).

The man is being treated at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip. He is in critical, but stable condition.
