Muscle, luxury and trucks up for bids at Suffolk Police vehicle auction Sept. 20

You want muscle? They’ve got it, with a Ford Mustang GT and a Chevrolet Camaro SS.

Luxury? You’ll find that too, in BMWs, Audis, and a handful of Mercedes models. Or how about size? SUVs and trucks are up for grabs as well, including a Ford F-150, a Dodge Ram and a Honda CR-V.

Saturday’s police auction in Westhampton promises to bring all of this — and more — to car enthusiasts and other bidders at the Suffolk County Police Department’s impound facility, 100 Old Country Road. The 9 a.m. auction will be held rain or shine (the current weather forecast is calling for sunny skies and temperatures in the 60’s and 70’s).

A preview of the vehicle inventory is available on Friday, until 4 p.m., and again for one hour before the bidding begins on Saturday.

Each car, about 100 in total, will start at a minimum bid of $500. They will be sold as-is, with no warranties.

Motorcycle enthusiasts can also check out several bikes, including a 2018 Harley-Davidson Sportster. There’s even a Mack dump truck in the lot.
