Suffolk’s state parks invite families to celebrate the season on Oct. 4

|

Three Suffolk County state parks are teaming up for one big adventure.

On Saturday, Oct. 4, families can explore Connetquot River State Park Preserve, Bayard Cutting Arboretum, and Heckscher State Park — all within a few miles of each other — during the special “One Day, Three Parks” celebration.

The day is packed with guided tours, nature walks, scavenger hunts, live music, food trucks and more. Each park has its own set of activities, hosted by volunteers from the local Friends groups.

There will even be raffles, snacks and giveaways sprinkled throughout the day.

The events are free, with food trucks available (prices vary).
