The northeast’s premier “Chicago” tribute band kicks off Sayville’s summer concert series, “Wednesdays in the Park,” on June 26 in the Common Ground at Rotary Park.
“Chicago 9 Tribute Band’s” show is the first of eight free concerts scheduled in the park. Each performance begins at 7 p.m.
The rain date for “Chicago 9” is July 6. For each of the other Wednesday concerts, the make-up date is the next day.
From acoustic acts to Irish music to Billy Joel songs, the line-up has something for everyone.
Here’s a list of the other scheduled performances:
July 10: The Lazy Bunny Ukulele Band, featuring guys, three ukuleles and some drums.
July 17: In the Groove, playing dance hits from 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.
July 24: Small Island, one of the top rated electric and acoustic acts on Long Island.
July 31: Norwegian Wood, an acoustic band performing Beatles songs.
Aug. 14: Buoy 34, playing new and traditional Irish music and folk/acoustic rock.
Aug. 21: Captain Jack, a Billy Joel tribute band.
Aug. 28: Stanton Anderson Band, playing an original blend of rock, blues, R&B and soul.
