Babylon Village is ready to party one last time this summer.
This Thursday, Sept. 20, the Babylon Village Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its second-ever Babylon Block Party.
The first, held on Aug. 30, was a big hit, with thousands piling onto Deer Park Avenue for the festivities.
“We created this as a thank-you to the community for always supporting us,” said the chamber’s president, Jacqueline DiDonato.
For the uninitiated, the Babylon Block Party is an outdoor summer series that runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m down Deer Park Avenue. There are a variety of food, drinks, and live music throughout the fest.
Heading there Thursday? Here’s what to know:
• Deer Park Avenue will be shut down from Railroad Avenue to Main Street, and Fire Island Avenue from Main Street to the municipal parking lot starting at 3 p.m. until 10 p.m.
• All of the village’s municipal parking lots will be open to the public, however there will be no parking allowed on the closed streets.
• If needed, the rain date is Sept. 27.
