Swell Taco Patchogue will be staying open until 1 a.m. Thursdays-Saturdays

|

Early morning hours and a new late night menu are in the works for fall at Swell Taco in Patchogue Village.

Previously closed for the night at 10 p.m., Swell will be open soon until 1 a.m. Thursdays through Saturday nights, said co-owner Brooke Jankow, who also operates a Swell in Babylon.

The late night scene will only be happening in Patchogue, however.

Ownership had found this summer they would get a rush later into the night, so they decided on a 1 a.m. closing time and came up with a late-night menu.

“We’re adding lots of chips, nachos, and snack options right now,” said Jankow.

Swell Taco, which serves up California-style Tex-Mex, is located at 30 East Main Street, across from The Amazing Olive and Paper Doll Curiosity Shoppe.

The 1 a.m. hours start next weekend.

THERE’S MORE

The Swell Taco team is also working on some fall dinner specials for the season.

“We’re going to be serving enchiladas suizas, shrimp empanadas, chimichangas. It’s a little bit different from what we’ve done but we’re really excited to present it [the menu] to the community,” said Jankow.

Each meal will be served as a platter, which will include rice, fried black beans, sour cream and salsa.

Queso lovers will not want to miss out on the enchiladas suizas, she says.

“It’s a flour tortilla filled with cheese and smothered and baked in salsa verde.”

There will also be more live music with DJ’s that will accompany the Taco Tuesdays parties.

“We have a lot of fun ideas and things that we’re going to do to embrace the fall season,” Jankow said.
