Tap Room to open third location in downtown Bay Shore

|

A third South Shore location is on tap for the popular restaurant/bar The Tap Room.

The ownership team, which operates locations in Patchogue and Massapequa Park, told GreaterBayShore they will be taking over the space that previously held Big Daddy’s East at 44-46 Main Street in Bay Shore.

“We are very familiar with the area, having opened Bango Bowls last year,” said co-owner James Bonanno, “It is a really thriving community.”

Bonanno— who will be running the location with partners David Johnson, Kevin Boyle, and Mike Nicholson— took over the property in March.

“Once we saw the opportunity, we jumped,” said Bonanno, who grew up in Blue Point. “We wanted to join a Main Street with great fellow restaurants.”

According to the owners, they will be running the operations similar to their Patchogue location because of its two floors.

“There will be dining on the first level and catering and private events on the second floor,” said Bonanno.

The Tap Room of Bay Shore is slated to open next month, said the co-owner.
