Tesla, the American-based electric vehicle company, is continuing to expand its charging network across Long Island.
The company has completed installation of a new Supercharger station in Centereach, located on Middle Country Road in a shopping plaza that includes Island Thrift and Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen. The address is 1770 Middle Country Road.
Tesla Superchargers are part of the company’s fast-charging network, allowing electric vehicles to add up to 200 miles of range in under 30 minutes, depending on the vehicle and conditions. Charging is priced per kilowatt-hour and varies by location.
According to Tesla’s app, the Centereach Supercharger charges $0.37 per kWh, with congestion fees of $0.50 per minute. The station has a maximum output of 325 kilowatts.
The site features 12 charging stalls and uses Tesla’s new V4 Supercharger technology, the company’s next-generation, high-power charging system.
With the addition of the Centereach site, Long Island is now home to more than 30 Tesla Supercharger locations.
Tesla holds the largest market share in the electric vehicle fast-charging space, operating more than 7,800 Supercharger stations worldwide with over 74,000 individual stalls. Tesla reported in its third-quarter earnings that its Supercharger network expanded by 18% in 2025.
