Shirley is now home to the latest Tex’s Chicken & Burgers location on Long Island.
The fast-growing, halal Southern-style chain officially opened Monday at 425 William Floyd Parkway.
Originally founded in The Bronx, Tex’s has expanded to more than 40 locations across New York City, Albany, Philadelphia — and now a growing list of Long Island towns.
Recent openings in Selden, East Islip, and Levittown have joined established spots in Hicksville and Centereach, with Shirley marking the newest addition.
Tex’s is known for its crispy fried chicken, grilled and fried chicken sandwiches, double cheeseburgers, wings, tenders, and loaded fries. They also serve milkshakes, mac & cheese, and a variety of combo meals. Tap here for the full menu.
And for night owls, it’s a go-to option: the Shirley location is open daily until 3 a.m.
