The rapidly growing Kyuramen ramen chain has just opened its 30th location, this time in downtown Huntington.
“Huntington has long been known for its rich cultural heritage and thriving food community, making it the perfect home for Kyuramen’s authentic Japanese flavors,” said Jackie Wong, the manager in Huntington. “With this new location, we aim to provide the Huntington community with a warm and inviting space where guests can enjoy handcrafted ramen, made with the finest ingredients and steeped in tradition.”
The chain was founded in 2014 by New York City entrepreneur Gary Lin, according to reports. He told Gotham in 2020 that he had hoped Kyuramen would become the “Starbucks of ramen in the U.S.”
And he’s been making good on that pledge.
The company’s plan is to now have 50 locations by the year’s end.
The other Long Island location is in Garden City, with a 11 total in the Tri-State area.
In downtown Huntington, you’ll find Kyuramen at 296 Main St., the space that previously played host to Quetzalcoatl Fine Mexican Cuisine.
Kyuramen “specializes in meticulously crafted ramen, developed by expert ramen masters,” the announcement on Huntington’s opening reads. The restaurant is 3,200 square feet and offers seating for 79 guests, featuring what the company describes as Kyuramen’s signature honeycomb-shaped seating (pictured) for a distinctive dining experience.
“The brand is committed to bringing traditional ramen to communities across the country, and Huntington represents another step toward that goal, catering to the tastes of both locals and visitors,” the announcement reads.
Signature dishes feature unique soup bases, fresh Japanese-style pork roast, a perfectly boiled egg, and green onions.
Huntington will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
