The owner of the Street to Table dining concept that opened in Merrick in 2019 has set his eyes on Suffolk.
And things are moving along in Huntington Station, with the buildout looking almost complete in the corner spot of a multi-tenant building that sits in the shadow of the new WholeFoods, which anchors the newly renovated Huntington Shopper Center.
The restaurant is expected to open this winter, owner Tejan Arora told Greater Long Island.
“Same fun, casual concept!” he said of the new spot. “And we’ve since evolved [from 2019] to feature a rotating selection of street food inspired by flavors from around the world.”
The menu is extensive, and includes such items as pulled pork sandwiches, Philly cheesesteaks, burgers and Indian options, such as the trandoori fried breaded wings, which use bold Indian spices with the classic American-style wing.
“[The wings] are a perfect example of our global approach to street food,” Arora said.
Arora was actually pursuing a law degree at Brooklyn Law School when he joined his parents in their restaurant, before going off on his own in 2019 by opening at 2205 Merrick Rd. in Merrick. He has since become a lawyer.
