The Crushed Olive has been on the move in the Huntington area.

For those out looking or wondering, the olive oil and balsamic vinegar purveyor ditched the downtown in August in favor of a home inside Jeff’s Gourmet Market at 110 New York Ave. in Halesite.

The move, the owners say, was made to offer parking convenience to their loyal followers, away from the downtown rush.

“We just thought it was a better location,” co-owner Mona Rossero said.

And the move happened in one day in August.

“We have a good team,” Rossero said. “We were able to just get it done.”

About The Crushed Olive

The Halesite location is one of five Long Island spots for the retailer. Their other locations are in Babylon, Sayville, Stony Brook and Commack.

The company is owned and was founded by Mona and Bob Rossero, whose Crushed Olive story starts in 2010, when the couple moved from Long Island to North Carolina. There, they set up their first shop selling a variety of olive oils, including infused olive oils, in Hickory, N.C.

Inspired by the response, they sold the Hickory store, moved back to the Island and began opening across Suffolk.

Their new boutique in Halesite includes their signature premium olive oils and their balsamic vinegars. Infused oil flavors range from chipotle to Tuscan herb. Among the balsamic vinegar flavors you’ll find black cherry, cinnamon pear, and espresso.

The Crushed Olive does carry other oils, but the Halesite spot will only be dealing in olive oils and balsamics.
