Several Bay Shore restaurants are joining forces to bring a bit of Bourbon Street downtown next week for a first-ever Fat Tuesday pub crawl.
Things will get started at 5 p.m. at Penny Pub at 79 West Main Street, where revelers can register between 5 and 6 p.m. For $10, people get beads and a bracelet for food and drink specials at all the participating stops on the crawl.
From 6 to 7 p.m., the stops are Penny Pub, Corks & Taps or ITA Kitchen. From there, it’s onward to Pico, Tulluluhas and/or Cortland from 7 to 8 p.m., then Changing Times, Coastal, Local Burger or Southside from 8 to 9 p.m.
The night winds down at T.J. Finleys, The Tap Room or Napper Tandy’s from 9 to 10 p.m.
(Some spots will be offering live music, scroll down for details.)
“With Valentine’s Day falling on a Friday we didn’t think our annual Singles Crawl was a good idea,” said Mike McElwee of the Bay Shore Chamber’s restaurant committee, which is running the event. “Fat Tuesday is a super fun night, and with all the great variety of foods and drink in Bay Shore there is something for everyone in town,” he added.
“We wanted to showcase that.”
