The new Spanish market in Babylon is now open for business.
NoaMar Markets, located at 238 Deer Park Avenue, opened for good this Wednesday night. (That was after a soft opening during the FIFA World Cup Finals.)
“It is a fantastic addition to Babylon Village,” said Babylon Mayor Ralph Scordino. “They put some work into this place.”
The Spanish grocer imports a wide variety of its products directly from the Iberian Peninsula, such as the Iberico ham.
“This is the really good stuff,” co-owner Heri Beiro said of the ham Wednesday.
Heri owns the market with his wife, France, who are both of Spanish descent. NoaMar will be carrying hot tapas, imported spices, oils, wines, beers and more.
The hours are Monday – Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
