The North Shore’s popular Graffiti Boutique is expanding to Babylon Village

|

The decades-old local chain Graffiti Boutique, with locations in Elwood and Huntington, will be opening a third location in Babylon Village.

The third Graffiti Boutique, which was established 30 years ago as a place for trendy yet affordable clothes for women of all ages, will be taking up shop in the space last occupied by Healthy Alternatives in March.

The exact address is 79 Deer Park Ave. A. The boutique’s other locations are 1930 Jericho Turnpike in Elwood and 306 Main St. in Huntington Village.

“I like the hometown U.S.A. kind of feel [in Babylon] which is different than a strip center,” said a company representative. “It’s just such a good vibe, so we just want to bring what we do to the people and be a part of the community there.”

The first Graffiti location opened in 1991.The merchandise ranges from the latest trends in clothes to a variety of accessories and shoes.

According to the shop’s website, the boutique’s buyers shop the Los Angeles and New York City fashion markets to find what’s all the rage in the industry.

The representative said Graffiti Boutique is its own private label, so a large bulk of the clothing is designed in-house. Each Graffiti Boutique has a similar layout and interior design, described as industrial chic.

“We want to be a happy place for people to come in, to socialize with us, to become friends, to fall in love and find great things to wear,” the representative said of the planned Babylon location.
