Suffolk police have confirmed that the 13-year-old Ronkonkoma girl who went missing Friday night has been found. She was “located” Sunday night, police said. No other details were provided.
Nysia Rengifo, 13, was reported missing to police around 8 p.m. on Friday night. The next day, Connetquot Central School District Superintendent Joseph Centamore issued a plea on social media for the public to help find her.
Thousands of Facebook users across Long Island shared Centamore’s post.
“A hallmark of our community is how we rally together in support of our children. I thank you all for any assistance you can provide,” Centamore had written.
Additionally, Suffolk cops had asked that people with information on her location to call 911.
No updates have since been posted to the district website or Facebook page.
